In 2005, The International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements (IFOAM) developed four new ethical principles of organic agriculture to guide its future development: the principles of health, ecology, care, and fairness. How can we understand each of these principles? Examples will be given and discussions develop with the audience. How do the organic standards and certification support the organic principles? Does a farm need to be certified to follow the principles?
