Industrialization of animals – which consequences

Organic animals are also involved in  the industrialization of livestock farming, which we witness and participate in in our Western world  and other places. Industrialization has some consequences both for us humans, and for the food systems, but also for the animals. This talk comes around the different perspectives, but addresses in particular the animal’s perspective. What happens to the animals, when they are bred to grow and produce? When they are fed so that they can grow, produce and stay disease-free? What happens to the animals when taking care of them is no longer a part of a farming culture but a part of an industry, where humans have jobs and take off at 17 o’clock?
