Also in Denmark a number of farmers elaborates on other and inovative ways of housing dairy cows. To share experiences with Dutch farmers housing the cows in compost barns and with the researchers involved in research of all kind of aspects of thos type of housing, a group of Danish farmers and researched visited the Netherlands. In an intensive programme four farms with a compost barn were visited and the evening was used to exchange research results between Danish and Dutch workers and to discuss the possibilities for a cooperation in certain parts of the research.
