From numerous animal welfare assessments on organic and conventional farms, in cubicle housing and bedded packed barn, in herds with and without horns a lot of experiences has been gathered about animal welfare and the connection with the conditions of the farm. Based on that experience and the farm specific situation, advice to improve and promote animal welfare will be given. Welfare Quality assessments, lying down times and animal behavioural assessments on farms are part of the advice.
